Naughty America — Read This Before You Sign

Note: Before Your Scene is the editorial arm of My First Scene, our DFW production studio. We write about the industry — including us.

If you’ve been booked for a Naughty America scene — through an agent, referral, or direct industry relationship — read this before you sign. Naughty America has operated since 2001 under La Touraine, Inc. in San Diego. Its public-record rap sheet is lighter than most peer studios. The real decision questions here are contract terms and what the company’s public plans for AI and deepfake technology mean for your likeness rights.

What it is

Naughty America is a mainstream adult production studio based in San Diego, California. The company launched in June 2001 under the brand SoCal Cash and rebranded to Naughty America in March 2004. The trademark was registered in July 2006 to applicant G. Andreas Hronopoulos, who continues as CEO.

The corporate parent is La Touraine, Inc., a Nevada corporation. Naughty America operates a network of sub-brands and themed content lines (teacher/student, MILF, reality-framed scenarios) under its own paysite umbrella rather than as part of a broader conglomerate. The studio is independent of Aylo.

One distinct feature of Naughty America is its tech posture. The company was an early adopter of Bitcoin payments (2015), VR content (mid-2010s), AR-in-living-room experiences (2018), and has publicly signaled intent to monetize deepfake technology. For a performer signing a release, that tech direction is directly relevant to what rights the release grants to her likeness beyond the scene itself.

How it operates

Booking runs through industry-standard channels: agency representation, scouting, direct talent outreach. San Diego is the production base; travel and accommodations are typically covered for booked talent. Shoots follow mainstream studio production flow — paperwork first (2257, model release, W-9), scripted scene direction, PASS-compliant testing.

Scene production quality is high. Naughty America is among the longer-running mainstream studios and has the infrastructure to reflect it: experienced crews, multiple shoot formats (traditional, VR, AR), and a content library spanning two decades.

Distribution runs through the Naughty America paysite network. Content syndicates across tube aggregator sites after publication, consistent with industry norms. VR and AR formats have distribution chains separate from traditional video.

Publicly documented issues
  • 2009 · Naughty America settled a trademark infringement suit brought by National American University over use of a 'Naughty American University' subdomain. A business-trademark dispute rather than a performer-affecting issue. Justia Trademarks
  • 2018 – present · Naughty America has publicly discussed its intent to monetize deepfake technology involving its performers. This is a stated company direction rather than an active legal case, but the implication for performer likeness-rights in current releases is material. IMDb News (aggregated coverage)
  • 2015 – present · Early industry adoption of VR, AR, and AI formats. Any current performer release may include clauses covering these formats that did not exist in releases a decade ago. Reviewing future-technology rights in the specific release is the relevant due diligence. Variety

Rate structure

Public pay figures for Naughty America are not disclosed by the company. Industry reporting places rates for mainstream booked female performers in the standard professional range for the segment. VR shoots are separately negotiated — VR production is more labor-intensive per scene and rates can differ from traditional-video shoots.

Same-day pay at wrap is industry-standard for per-scene bookings. Exclusive contract rates, where offered, are individually negotiated and not publicly disclosed.

Contract patterns

The Naughty America release is a standard mainstream-studio release with distribution rights across the company’s network and tube syndication chain. The specific concern with Naughty America — separate from standard mainstream-release patterns — is likeness-rights language for emerging technology: VR, AR, and particularly AI-generated content using the performer’s image.

Any current Naughty America release should be read carefully for clauses governing: AI training data, deepfake-style content, likeness licensing to third-party AI platforms, and whether future-technology formats require a separate opt-in or are bundled into the original release. These clauses are less than a decade old at scale and the industry is still developing norms around them.

Before signing, verify
  • Distribution scope across the Naughty America network and syndication partners, named specifically in the release
  • AI/likeness-rights clauses — whether your image can be used to train AI models, generate deepfake-style content, or license to third-party AI platforms
  • VR and AR format rights — whether these are included in the original release or require separate opt-in
  • Future-technology language — what rights the release grants to formats that don't exist yet
  • Rate, overage terms, and payment timing in writing before the shoot
  • PASS-compliant STI testing within industry window for every participant, documentation shown in advance
  • Scene titling and tagging permanence under your stage name
  • Whether the contract binds successor entities (La Touraine, Inc. is Nevada-incorporated; ownership can change)
How we do it differently
Naughty America is a long-running mainstream studio with a lighter public-record rap sheet than most peers and a tech-forward posture including stated interest in AI and deepfake monetization. My First Scene is a simpler shape: a single production, no VR/AR/AI likeness-licensing ambiguity, and a release written only for what the scene you sign up for actually produces.
  • No AI/deepfake licensing. Your likeness isn’t training data or raw material for synthetic content. Not in our release, not in any future language.
  • No VR/AR format obligation. If you want to shoot VR later elsewhere, you can. We don’t bundle future formats into your first-scene release.
  • Single entity, single release, no successor-assignment ambiguity. You signed with us, you’re signed with us.
  • Distribution capped in writing. Our paysite. Not a network, not a syndication chain.
  • Same-day pay direct to her. No agency or intermediary on your money.
