What it is

Spiegler Girls is a boutique Los Angeles–based adult talent agency founded in 2003 by Mark Spiegler. Spiegler was born in 1958-59, raised in West Hollywood, and came into the industry through production (production assistant in the 1980s, producer of 96 films in the 1990s) before moving to talent representation. He spent 1999-2003 as an agent at Topp Models before founding Spiegler Girls.

The defining feature of the agency is its deliberate smallness: Spiegler maintains roughly 25-30 clients at a time. The curated-roster model is unusual in an industry where many agencies run rosters in the hundreds. Selectivity is the basis of Spiegler’s reputation: the agency books at the premium end of the industry, and agency-represented performers often include some of the most established and highest-paid women in mainstream adult production.

Spiegler Girls is a Licensed Adult Talent Agency Trade Association (LATATA) member and is licensed as a talent agency in California — a basic regulatory distinction that several peer agencies (Hussie Models, for example) do not have.

How it operates

Spiegler operates a traditional talent-agency model with a standard representation agreement and commission on bookings. The agency’s small size means Spiegler personally handles negotiations, scheduling, and roster management. Industry interviews have described his operating style as hands-on, pragmatic, and professionally demanding of the agency’s clients.

The agency has relationships with all major US studios — Aylo brands, Vixen Media Group, Evil Angel, Kink, Wicked, Jules Jordan, and others. The booking-rate ceiling available through Spiegler is as high as any agency in the industry; performers represented by Spiegler routinely book the premium scenes across all major studios.

Publicly documented issues
  • Public record · No major documented performer-safety case, state enforcement action, or federal case specific to Spiegler Girls appears in public searches. This is a genuinely light public record, distinct from peer agencies with documented patterns (Motley Models, Hussie Models, LA Direct Models). Structural considerations of agency representation still apply. AllModelAgencies (minimal review record)
  • 2012 · Mark Spiegler inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame. Industry-recognition context rather than documented concern — included for completeness of public record. Wikipedia
  • Structural (all agency representation) · The general structural considerations that apply to any agency representation apply to Spiegler: exclusive or semi-exclusive agreements, commission, information asymmetry, and the trade-off between agency access to bookings and the cost of that access. These are not issues unique to Spiegler — they are the decision frame for every representation agreement. Before Your Scene

Rate structure

Specific commission rates for Spiegler Girls are not publicly disclosed. Standard industry agent commission is 10–20%; Spiegler’s rate is presumed to be in this range, though individually negotiated with each client. Exclusive vs non-exclusive arrangement structures have not been publicly detailed.

Payment from productions to performers typically flows direct same-day at wrap at major studios. Agency commissions are usually handled separately between performer and agent.

Contract patterns

The structural consideration for Spiegler representation is the same as for any agency: scope (exclusive vs non-exclusive, adult-only vs mainstream-crossover), duration, termination, commission. These are the agreement elements to understand and negotiate. Specific Spiegler contract terms are not publicly disclosed.

Selectivity cuts both ways. The upside: agency reputation, premium bookings, industry-standard professional handling. The downside: the agency is selective about who it takes; being turned down is common, and there is no cost-benefit difference between Spiegler Girls and any other reputable agency if the agency passes on you.

Before signing, verify
  • Commission percentage, in writing, and what it applies to
  • Exclusivity scope — whether exclusive or non-exclusive, and whether it covers all adult work, only studio work, or only specific categories
  • Contract duration and termination notice period
  • Any fees beyond commission (photo shoots, administrative, listings) itemized in writing
  • Pay-flow from productions — direct to you or routed through the agency; if through the agency, timing and documentation of each deduction
  • What happens to commissions on bookings that existed at the time of signing if you leave the agency
  • Independent reference from a current or former Spiegler client — reputation is verifiable through direct conversation
How we do it differently
Spiegler is the cleanest-record top-tier agent in US adult production. The decision isn’t whether Spiegler is reputable — it is — but whether you need an agent at all. My First Scene is the direct-booking alternative if you’d rather not share the rate and the decisions with a representative.
  • No commission. Full rate comes to you.
  • No exclusive. Shooting with us doesn’t lock you out of anything, including future Spiegler representation if you want it later.
  • Direct communication. You talk to the producer, not through a representative.
  • Scene-by-scene, no multi-year commitment.
  • Same-day pay at wrap.
